FAULT DOCKER

FAULT DOCKER

The MPB Fault Docker is currently still under development, below is the details on the prototype Docker. The very exciting long awaited release of the Docker is just around the corner, so check an eye on this space for updates, or alternatively contact MPB Engineering direct. The Fault docker is a  highly accurate, fast, and reliable Chalk line semi optimising docker (saw).

The Fault Docker has been develop over the past 12 months and is designed to fill the gap between the manual 'pop-up' style docker and the expensive optimising type saws.
The MPB Fault Docker was designed with reliability, accuracy, and robustness in mind. It's solid framework ensures the Docker will withstand the rugged environment while still providing the highly accurate specifications. The framework has a compact design to enable the Docker to be included into an existing line while minimizing the floor space used.
The MPB Fault Docker is a fully automatic docking saw with semi optimising capabilities. The boards are automatically fed into the machine via the 3 driven rollers which pass the timber under the luminescence scanner. Once scanned, the PLC determines what to do next to the board, depending on the parameters set by the user. 2 rollers on the outfeed side of the saw blade feed the board onto the conveyor and out of the machine.

  • COMPACT DESIGN: With a compact design the Docker only takes up minimal floor space, approximately 1500 x 1250mm (excluding infeed/outfeed conveyors)

  • SIMPLE, RELIABLE, HEAVY DUTY: The Docker is easy to maintain while ensure its accuracy and reliability for a long time in any environment.

  • HIGHLY ACCURATE: The high accuracy is obtained through the 5 drive rollers all being driven by a Servo motor via a timing belt. This setup means negligible slip between the Servo Motor and timber allowing the Docker to operate at such high feed through rates while still maintaining a high degree of accuracy.

  • SIDE CLAMPING: The side clamps ensure the timber is held up against the fence while cutting guaranteeing a square cut every time.

  • SEMI OPTIMISING: User defined settings allows each board to be cut up into single or multi set lengths. A combination of Chalk line fault docking and set length cutting can also be done on each board, all easily setup through the touch screen.

  • PLC and TOUCHSCREEN: The user interface is a touch screen display which controls a PLC. This keeps the controls in one position and simple for the operator, while maintaining all the functionality through the PLC.
  • SELF DIAGNOSTICS: If a fault, jammed timber, or something is amiss, the buzzer will sound and a message will be displayed telling the operator what is wrong.

  • COUNTER: Via the display, a linear metre and/or piece count is done. The machine can be set to stop after a predetermined metre/piece count - ideal for pack counts.

  • QUALITY WORLDWIDE COMPONENTS: Only high quality components such as; Norgren, Baldor, and Sensick have been used and are available worldwide.
